Bio:
Dannis Chang, PharmD, is Senior Director of Medical Communications and Operations at IDEAYA Biosciences, bringing over 15 years of Medical Affairs experience across emerging biotechnology and global pharmaceutical organizations. He has led strategic initiatives and built high-impact functions spanning scientific communications and publication planning, medical information, medical education and training, digital strategy, and medical systems. His work has supported multiple oncology indications and product launches, including urothelial, breast, lung, ovarian, and prostate cancers.
Prior to joining IDEAYA Biosciences, Dannis held senior leadership roles at Bicycle Therapeutics, Genentech, Mirati Therapeutics, Myovant Sciences, and Halozyme Therapeutics. In these roles, he helped advance oncology product launches and lifecycle strategies while strengthening medical capabilities, operational infrastructure, and cross-functional collaboration across clinical development, commercial, and regulatory organizations. Known for building scalable medical communications infrastructure and enabling cross-functional alignment, Dannis is passionate about delivering high-impact scientific narratives. He translates complex science into clear, compliant communication platforms, aligns teams around cohesive narratives, and identifies strategic opportunities to disseminate data through innovative approaches that amplify scientific awareness and support improved patient care.
Dannis earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Southern California and completed a two-year pharmaceutical industry fellowship with Novartis through the Rutgers Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program.
