Jason Lebowitz, PharmD, MSHS

Bio:

Jason R. Lebowitz, PharmD, MSHS is a Principal Medical Science Liaison in US Medical Affairs (Rare Neurology) at Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease, bringing over 14 years of experience across clinical pharmacy, management consulting, and field medical leadership. Serving as a hybrid field-strategy lead, Dr. Lebowitz manages a network of 50+ neuromuscular specialists, partners with active Phase II/III clinical trial sites, has moderated national advisory boards and bridges clinic-level insights directly to R&D and executive leadership. Alongside his core field medical responsibilities, he plays an active role in training, mentoring, and onboarding new MSLs across the national neurology team. 

A recognized innovator in digital medical affairs, Dr. Lebowitz designed and led a modular AI and digital health upskilling curriculum for a 30-person national medical team, deploying compliant enterprise AI workflows, as well as independently developing Conference Leader AI, to accelerate competitive and congress intelligence. He received Alexion’s 2025 Excellence Award for field leadership across multiple rare disease launches and for establishing a national Medical Affairs AI training lab. Dr. Lebowitz holds a PharmD from the University of Southern California and an MSHS in Health Delivery Science from Cedars-Sinai Health System.
