Bio:

Zoë Harris Lazarre, PhD, MPH, is the Chief Marketing Officer at Genentech. With over 20 years of experience across both public and private sectors, Dr. Lazarre leverages her depth of public health expertise combined with her business leadership to deliver measurable impact for patients, providers, and society.


Dr. Lazarre’s tenure at Genentech, which began in 2010, has been marked by a series of progressively senior leadership positions. Prior to her CMO role, she served as Vice President of the Foundational Products Franchise, where she led the U.S. Squad and Network across a
17-product franchise inclusive of Immunology, Stroke, Influenza, and late-stage Oncology, with full profit-and-loss responsibility for $6B annual revenue. Her global experience extends to her role as the Stroke/Lytics Lifecycle Lead for Roche, and as a member of the
Global Product Strategy Neuroscience Leadership Team. Her diverse background includes extensive experience in Customer Engagement / Sales, Business Strategy & Operations, Access and Managed Care, and therapeutic area Marketing.


Dr. Lazarre has previously held board positions on both the UC Berkeley School of Public Health Alumni Board and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. She is also a 2024 graduate of the Leadership California Issues & Trends Program. Dr. Lazarre holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, a MPH from Yale University, and
a PhD in Health Services and Policy Analysis from the University of California, Berkeley. She resides in Oakland, California with her family.
